Just stopping by to say hello and to tell you my youngest daughter, Shoshoni will be graduating from high school this evening.  6 of my 7 kids will be here to watch the ceremony.  Everyone will know her; she will be the 1 with the eagle plume and mocs on!  Now all of my children have graduated and I feel like I have too; now it's on to the rez and a new beginning for me.  Have a good weekend!  Walker Clan Mother

Aanii Nokomis. It was good to get a message from you. Sure I would love to share stories and things we come to understand about ourselves on this journey we are constantly walking. It's good to hear from the Grammas of our people. I am only a young Gramma with always lots to learn. Not too many Grammas online. LOL Good for you Nokomis(means Gramma in Ojibway)

Thank you for your reply.  My adopted father was a Turtle Mt. Chippewa from North Dakota.  So, I'm interested in that tribe and their heritage also.  My adopted mother was my paternal aunt.  Many people have a difficult time working out the family tree since it takes that odd twist.  My adopted parents are the only ones I have known since I was 6 weeks old when I was adopted.  They adopted my siblings when my natural mother died.  I went from being an only child to being one of 7 kids!  Talk about a "culture shock"!  So, I say I had my kids the hard way, one at a time.

Well, I have another moving box with my name on it.  So, I'm headed to the other room to pack and catch a bite to eat.  My typing is telling me I need something to stop the caffeine jitters!  Thanks for the reply and keep in touch.  WalkerClan Mom

Hello, I am contacting you because I too am a mother of 8, from a family of 7 and I am starting a new journey back to my reservation. I would like to be a friend and talk with you about life.  I am reading A NEW EARTH but with the powwow season starting and my move begining,  I am pulled in so many waysand do not have the time to just "chill".    I hope you have a good day and please reply at my site.  Walkerclan Mother
