Deer hunter;Ground Hog Day; Good Will Hunting;
I try to keep clear of violent movies and don't waste my time with prime(excuse me?) time television cause it's(mostly) all garbage.
Public Television is a good bet and Always Native Content. Produced and Performed. Learn as much as you can about history. You can weed out all the hollywood crap. Dances with this, Medicine Woman that... I want to see all Native Actors and Producers!!!! Isn't it about time?
AIROS (Native content).

California Missions: A Legacy of Genocide by Rupert Costo

'Condor' California Condor's 10.5 foot wingspan makes it the largest bird in North America. They ranged across the United States for 10 thousand years. Great survivors and victims of the comming of "Progress". Does this sound failiar? Well they too, were poisoned, hunted for sport and ultimately put on "Reservations" for their own Protetion

Every "expert" had their own ideas on what to do about the " Condor Problem"

I get my Native News from Indian Country Today.com
I am constantly amazed at all of the evolving Native issues that are brought out with informative and touching articles that are well written. I log on every day and am reminded of how Natives are building Governments and Communities daily where America has left Natives behind, intentionally. It's time to catch up and take charge of our communities. PEACE

Native Pride; Old school music; Those that are Generous without an Agenda; Good food with polite company; Native Artists: Well informed people; Mellow and Slow; Good Natured Natives;

And now that I am here in my life, Young Natives doing the above and passing it on

My Personal Preferences: Inteligent compassionate Native Women. Strong and Flexible. the scent of freshly washed hair, Hers not mine.

Where there is a winner at the loser's expense.
Loud without a positive messege.

Bossy Broads-say please,
Loud Cell Phone use when there are people around what can hear.

Shopping for shopping's sake.
Wasting time fighting with loved ones when there is so little time together.

It's been since June that I have been living without many of the material posessions that I previously defined myself by. I have ridden my bicycle everyday since then and have not paid a dime for gasoline. I have traveled throughout the SF bay area with what I need to survive indefinately strapped to my bike. If I can't carry it with me I find out of the way places where I can cache them until I return. I have learned best routes for travel to various places, avoiding the freeways and Highways. I have seen so many simple things, that we all miss by flying by in our automobiles. All that steel and weight, just to move one person to the movies or dinner?
I eat once or twice a day and ride 35-60 miles in a day. Hard to get fat! I do my drawings and paintings in quiet, out of the way places. I am greatful for finding the simple life. Stress free!

Two months ago, I settled down in Pacifica, California. It's a quiet coastside town just south of San Francisco. I love it here! I am recovering from getting struck and tossed 10 feet into the air by a pickup truck while walking across a crosswalk in town. I went back to work to pay for more food and things to make my life more comfortable. The weather has been dry for the most part and I have been absolutely elated by my life under the pine tree on the ridge in town. I have begun riding my bike again after one month off after the collision. I am putting weight on fast and using a child's bike trailer to haul my possessions around town and beyond. It has been a good workout and I am still not driving. I am painting the exterior of a stucco house on the top of the mountain that separates Pacifica from San Francisco. I ride up each day and work for two leisurely hours and then ride down the mountain to town. The town remains in fog for much of the year and all of the houses show signs of exposure to this climate. Lots of work pressure washing and painting. It's good for me cause I can carry myself and the supplies on my bike and trailer. STILL NO AUTO!!!

I like the quiet lifestyle here and I am now able to travel by bike bus and train again to visit with friends and new places for my research on California Native communities.
